These 200 level classes provide instruction on the foundational concepts and techniques of Tango. These classes include understanding cross system vs parallel system, using a close embrace, pauses, and double timing. As well as exploring the basic techniques of Paradas, Barridas, Boleos, Sacadas, and Ganchos. At this level, we also look at the basics of dancing to the rhythms of vals and milonga.
- T204 - Sacadas I: Forward Sacadas
A Sacada (or Displacement) is a step in Argentine Tango where one partner steps through the step of their partner, thus displacing our partner and taking the space that our partner just left. - T205 - Paradas y Pasadas I
During this series, we will examine the proper technique for leading and following Paradas (stops) and Pasadas (passovers). - T210 - Ochos II: Intermediate Ochos
This class will help us develop a higher understanding of Ochos such as Parallel Ochos for both leaders and followers and adding musicality to our Ochos. - T212 - Giros II: Popular Turns (Intermediate Giros)
Giros (turns) are circular movements where one dancer goes around the other dancer or they both go around a common axis. - T206 - La Calesita I

In this series of classes, we examine some foundational steps and techniques of dancing to the rhythm of vals (tango waltz). - M201 - Milonga II
Milonga is one of the rhythms that we dance to at Milongas (Tango Dance Parties). This class will focus on understanding the rhythm of Milonga, how to incorporate your existing steps into Milonga and new steps that fit nicely into Milonga.
